Global Warming & Climatic Changes .

When you think of global warning, you think of Al Gore, the Nobel Prize winner for this year 2007. http://environment.newscientist.com/channel/earth/dn12779-al-gore-and-climate-panel-win-nobel-peace-prize.html

He is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted,” the Nobel committee said in announcing the prize.

His Oscar winning movie,’An Inconvenient truth .’http://www.newscientist.com/blog/environment/2007/10/al-gores-inconvenient-truth.html has been criticized by a judge in the UK for inaccuracies, a judge with a scientific background?

All those information’s could be true or false and debatable as no one can really predict what will happen in the future or have the concrete proof to account for the events that happened. We can label disasters due to the climatic changes on Earth

Al Gore could be right or could be wrong but he has raised awareness of this climatic change.

We have read a lot about global warming, melting icebergs and raising sea levels which can threaten 21 mega cities in the world.

We can feel the weather has changed and it is getting hotter and many homes have installed air conditioning. Sometimes you can feel like your bed is like a gigantic hot plate and sleeping without the air conditioning is impossible.

Countries in this world have abused the world’s eco- system and as a result are reaping the fruits of the wanton destruction of the Earth resources. The world is getting warmer because of the rapid deforestation, ozone black hole, CO2 or emission of green house gases.Floods, droughts, crop failures, hurricanes are more prevalent these days.

An historic agreement on a roadmap for achieving a global climate deal by the end of 2009 was reached in Bali today after two weeks of intense negotiations

Will this do any good?

The politicians will give their pep talks and lip service and then jet back to their own countries and what you get is some hot air from some representative of their countries while their government carries on and does their usual things.

It may bring the countries in the world to understand this problem and to reduce the causes which can cause global warming but this agreement may like other worldly agreements only looks good on paper. Just another hype about global cooperation’s.

The countries will just do as they are doing now unless it affects their own citizens. It is not happening in their place, it is not their problems.

So people in Malaysia will continue to get the free smog from Indonesia year after year. The private hospitals will have more business as more people will become sick. Some people will gain and some will lose. US and China will be the two largest exporter of CO2….The Bali meeting is just another meaningless meetings because no one is serious about global warming. Hey! It is not our problem . Those are all doomsday prophets.

One day, our planet earth will be desolate like the planet Mars. Now, we are destroying the animal’s habitat and many animals will become extinct. We may in the future in order to survive, will have to live in large domes or air bubble under the sea or beneath the earth to escape from the fiery hot Earth. All this is just my imaginations because I won’t live to see what Earth would be like in 100 or 1000 years.

Here is something that we can all do to help.
Are you familiar with the ground floor movement to take solar to the masses by a company called Citizenre? They are trying market solar with an approach similar to satellite TV, cellular telephones, and alarm systems. That is to provide the customer a complete solar system with no upfront charges and make money from a service contract. In this case the service contract would be a rent agreement. They intend to put a complete solar system on clients home. When the system produces electricity, it will lower the bill from the current utility provider. In most cases the savings from the lower bill will more than cover the rent fee that the company intends to charge. The company currently has no product available but intends to deploy in the middle of 2008. They are currently taking reservations and have over 26,000 takers so far. I have written several articles on this company in my blog and even have a couple of videos that I have recorded at http://www.solarjoules.com. Feel free to take a look. I welcome comments. As in any start up business, a chance exists that they may never get off the ground and fulfill any preorders, but if this is the case – the potential client has not lost anything. If you cannot afford the upfront cost of solar today, this may turn out to be a great alternative. This solution would mean that we could produce at least a little less pollution and would be a great step “just in case”. And hey, the fact that you will save money on your electricity bill over time is a pretty good reason to look into it as well.
If anyone would like company information you can go to http://www.jointhesolution.com/razmataz.

Laura1318; Thanks for your input. Going solar is a way to save on electricity bills but it is still too costly to set up one over here. If the savings in electricity bill from the solar equipment will be paid for the rent , then we are back to ‘zero.’
