A piece of local news for those who go to the Pacific mega mall in Butterworth , Seberang Prai. Penang.

If you are going to the Pacific mega mall, park inside the complex or use their parking bays. If you park outside in those city council parking bays using coupons, you may have to pay those jaga kereta(illegal and unlicense parking attendants) Indian boys Rm2.00.

They used to collect Rm2.00 after 8.00pm from those town council parking lots but now they are asking from car owners during the day time. If you don’t pay them, they will slice your tyres.

A friend park at one of the side lanes last week during the daytime and found his tyres slashed. Two little Indian boys about 10 to 12 years old came and asked Rm2.00 for parking there . He did not pay them

He drove off after checking his car for scratches but the next day, his tyre was  completely flat . Upon checking he found two about 4 in long cuts on that tyre. Those Indian boys work in gangs.

After traveling for some distance, the air in the tyres get heated up and the tyres expand.. The cut becomes widens and a tear will result. He had to used a tube  for his tyres.

If any little Indian boy come and asked you Rm2.00 for parking there, you either pay them or remove your car from there or you may get slashed tyres. You still have to scratch a parking coupon or get a summons from the city enforcement squad.

I have seen them ride a bike and come to collect the money when you park or leave that place. They are somewhere loitering around there observing who is parking or leaving.

 Be warned.
