There is plenty to eat and plenty to choose from, in the land that never sleeps. Anytime, you want to eat, there will be no shortage of food for 24/7.. Malaysia is known as the land of gluttons or a gastronomic Heaven. Eat all you want and eat all you can and the best part is, it is not expensive and the food taste damned good. Prices have risen abit recently because of inflation or their contents shrunk abit.
Night markets and hawkers on tricycles serve fast-food meals, while 24-hour eateries offer Indian capati bread, roti canai ,tosai ,fried mee and rice
White rice is our staple food and with the high cholesterol coconut milk curry, the sweet ‘teh tarik’ (tea ), ‘nasi lemak’ (coconut milk rice with anchovies, egg and peanuts) and it is no surprise when there is a sharp jump in obesity, diabetes and strokes .

With mothers working and rising affluence, many are eating out. It is easier to eat out, it save time and money and you don’t have to do the washing up. If you calculate the real cost of cooking at home, it can be more costly. We can cook our favourite food or soup when we hunger for them.
Though many are aware of the health risk, they still continue to tuck in their favourite food. There is simply no substitute for that kind of food. Even if they are the same in name in another place, they don’t taste the same as here.
Will you give up your favourite food? For the time being, maybe you will eat less and then you will soon forget about those health warnings. In time ,everything will be back to normal.
